My Second last Winter in Kursk

Hello, everybody! Now I'm the 5th year medical student in Kursk, Russia. I had a great summer holiday with my family this year. As the time gone by, now it's the second last winter I have in Kursk. Last semester there were some new clinical subjects such as ENT and Ophthalmology and I sat for the final exam last month. Besides that,  I began to learn Russian by having a tutor to guide me and it is quite helpful to improve my Russian language a little. This winter is very special for me, as I began to learn how to ski with my Russian friends. At first, I hate skiing because I fell down all the times as I don't know how to break. It never stops even though I managed to do a "V-shape" braking style or snowplough. I am scared to ski down the slope and it was so painful to fell down. I think I need more practices on that hehe..

My Summer holiday ^^

Yeaahh, tomorrow is the last day of my elective posting in surgery department at Queen 1 after doing my posting for a month in different department in Hospital Likas and Queen 1. Throughout the posting I followed the clinic and the ward and hope to see and learn more about different cases which is much easier to understand as compared to russian languages. We learnt how to take blood from veins and it is the scariest part as we have not done any hand-on during our studies in Russia, so it is quite challenging for me as a medical student. During my posting in Likas under O&G, I have got the opportunity to see the birth delivery and it was very exciting to see and to welcome a newborn baby coming into the world.

Besides, I am glad to join the mission trip 2014 again in Tandek. We had a lot of fun and joy with the local people. Even though we only can supply the basic medication which not really improve their quality of life, we have not only to serve, to love and to give them with the heart of willingness but at the same time we also blessed them with the good news of Jesus Christ. It took us about 5 days 4 nights staying in 3 different kampong which is very far inside the hills. We did mobile clinic in the morning and had services during the night. With our little effort, I hope the people in Tandek will be always healthy, happy and be blessed with the grace of God.

Return Home :)

Hey everyone, finally I am back home and going to spend my two months summer holiday in KK until end of August this year. I finished my year 3 studies in Kursk and there will be three year more before I graduate. Thank God, I've passed all the subjects. Basically what I did during the last two semester was going to class everyday, attending the lectures, having class at hospital and the class ended quite late because there was too many break in between. This summer holiday I am doing my 1 month practical at QE2 at emergency department. Quite nervous as I have no idea what it is going to be.

Getting excited to see my parents and friends for this summer holiday!!

LOV3 Kursk Concert

Yeah, Lov3 kursk concert has finally come to an end. Million thanks for those who were participating and making this charity event a success one. Love Kursk aims to create a sense of awareness amongst the students about the needs that many in the world face. Through this concert, we aim to help raise funds for charity organizations around Kursk. Currently WCCI church has adopted 8 families in Kursk. This charity concerts were actually started in Moscow, followed by Volgograd and Kursk. So, I was invited by my classmate Fercilla to take part in this concert and we formed a band of 5 to performed 2 Chinese songs. So, I was asked to be the pianist as usual, and we started our practice about 1 month before the concert. We thanks God that the concert was successful and we were so happy that our performance on that night was far awesome from what we did during the practice time. Special thanks to all of you.. this concert not only helps the others who in need but at the same time it brings us together as one team to perform not for anyone, but for God himself..  May God bless Kursk, May God bless Russia J
